If all of life was planned as a book;
surely it was meant to be exciting;
whether born entrepreneur or crook;
I had quite a challenge, deciding.

I wanted to find something to learn;
but discovered I was a slow learner;
it required time; but I had time to burn;
so that it’d be a page turner.

Destiny devised far more than hearkened;
with drama and mystery on each page;
much more, than for what I had bargained;
at times, I was led to outrage.

But Destiny never acts without reasons;
and nothing ever happens, without one;
for, life’s chapters are more like seasons:
ever since our life’s book has begun.

Life’s book was not written for sport;
there’s purpose behind each page;
for Destiny, himself, is not the sort,
to have you frivolously engage.

Once Destiny has pushed your boundaries;
and you’ve faced the challenges, within;
your chapters become much like foundries;
forging patterns of Love, to begin.

Life’s book isn’t about happily ever after;
there was a life before it; a prequel;
and tho, this book has sadness and laughter;
the next book, to come, is its sequel.
