Open Your Eyes
God commands each of us to open our eyes;
behold all the beauty we’ve been given;
a bountiful earth; oceans, trees, and skies;
and, of all our sins; we’re forgiven.
We must also, all open the eyes of our mind;
vision is an ability, greater than eyesight;
only by this vision of thoughts can we find;
reality and truth; observed in the night.
For we live in the darkness of an evil kingdom;
with threats of danger behind every tree;
eventually we’re likely to lose all God’s freedom;
not allowed to become what we’re meant to be.
This kingdom is filled with much evil and hate;
meant by the Master as our acid test;
discovering which of us, refuse to relate;
and, which ones simply acquiesce.
Many may honestly have their disagreement;
but, still have only love in their heart.
Others live their lives in total appeasement;
allowing division and hate to tear us apart.
Evil thrives when we all remain divided;
rich against poor; black against white;
class division and hatred makes evil excited;
tho all are the same; in God’s sight.
So, open your eyes in the kingdom of thought;
never allow the darkness of division within;
don’t permit hate to destroy what God wrought;
allow only the love of God to enter in.
