Only The Good Die Young

Are we born with a purpose or destiny;
allowing what we’re to become;
does each have their own life expectancy;
or, do only the good die young?

There are none good; not even one;
or so, the Master has said;
leaving no one good to die young;
do the good die old, instead?

Is our life span established at birth;
no matter what’s encumbered;
are our years determined by worth;
or, are all our years numbered?

Do the years make one more wise;
or does wisdom begin in youth;
is knowledge seen in someone’s eyes;
how can we know the truth?

How can we know our circumstance;
about what our life is to be;
does God give us all, an equal chance;
and, everyone eyes to see?

Logic demands we each have a purpose;
something, only we can fulfill;
all of us were created for God’s service;
fulfilling the Master’s will.

Ultimately; whether by destiny or choice;
in unity; all choose to be one;
the old still await the Master’s voice;
so, only the good die young.
