Only Now
There is neither a future, nor past;
longevity plays no role;
nothing is diminished or amassed;
time doesn’t create a soul.
We are the Master’s infinite image;
no future or past; have we;
we are both children and lineage;
we’re an image of reality.
Time is an illusion; created of thought;
to time’s dreams; we bow;
through life’s illusions; wisdom is taught;
there is no time; only now.
Many think; there’s always tomorrow;
but tomorrow never will come;
today is filled with laughter and sorrow;
but today and tomorrow are one.
Our thoughts, constantly ebb and flow;
one thought; leaving others behind;
this world of dreams, helps us to grow;
we only really travel in our mind;
Often we dwell in thoughts of yesterday;
wondering of why and how;
in heaven; there is nothing, but today;
we can only live in the now.
We spend our time; thinking of tomorrow;
to its dreams we bow;
such images lead us only to sorrow;
there is no future; only now.
