Many years ago, when the nation was young;
they taught children in a one room school;
all brought together; all ages into one;
it wasn’t the exception; but the rule.
All thoughts interchanged, without exception;
young, and old; and all inbetween;
differing views could all achieve reception;
and all forms of thought could convene.
In time, many forms of division took place;
as the younger students felt lost and left out.
Then students, the same ages, were given space;
and each group then had their own clout.
Our freedoms allowed that each have their say;
the most vociferous among us, made demands;
eventually their voices gained much more sway;
until their opinions transformed to commands.
One room schools, became schools of one thought;
and reality was whatever they claimed it to be;
whatever their fancy; was what became taught;
and schools transformed to an aristocracy.
Scientific theories gained total domination;
and the unions gained full control;
God was banished from all consideration;
and the schools had sacrificed our soul.
The school of one thought was no democracy;
none were permitted to question their rules;
typical for a school, run as an aristocracy;
it’s where wisdom teaches all to be fools.
