Nowhere To Hide

As a child, I used to play “hide and seek”
thinking it merely a childrens game;
its connection to reality was rather unique;
for both, are very much the same.

All of our lives; we hide from the truth;
whatever we don’t want discovered;
the same game we played in our youth;
in the open; we felt uncovered.

We live in a world of constant exposure;
where, in reality, all must abide;
many are those, just seeking closure;
for those, there’s nowhere to hide.

The energy of the soul is an open field;
exposed to one and all;
all within us, shall soon be revealed;
as guilt follows each fall.

For, none are righteous; not even one;
not living as God had planned;
we’re the prodigal; the ungrateful son;
oblivious to God’s command.

Of only ourselves, are we all protective;
in truth, we cannot abide;
with others; we become more subjective;
it’s only our lies, we hide.

In stealth, we all daily walk alone;
not knowing where we’re to go;
God sent his angels to bring us home;
we’re only on earth; to grow..
