Not Even A Raindrop

Not even a raindrop can fall without purpose;
nor is there an errant flake of snow;
both are destined to reach reality’s surface;
both are required for life to grow.

Many trees grow tall just to capture the breeze;
while birds hide their nest on a branch;
the birds are protected and sheltered by leaves;
all of it was purpose; not chance.

Many birds always fly south for the winter;
to escape the cold winds and snow;
the Master creator was not a beginner;
God gave them a place to go.

The skunk was given a very bad smell;
to drive any predators away;
predators would rather live in hell;
than beginning to smell that way.

The bear had a coat to protect from the cold;
it wasn’t enough for a long wintry day;
God’s gift of hibernation; an act most bold;
allowing the bear to sleep winter away.

The caterpillar appearing as a tasty treat;
was made able to make a coccoon;
God’s wisdom allowed for death’s defeat;
transforming the coccoon to a womb.

Not even a raindrop can fall without purpose;
as I, as a man, can testify;
the Master’s love rises to the surface;
God didn’t create life to die.
