No Man Is An Island
No man is an island; and no man a god;
tho, many believe that they are;
attempting to replace a deity seems odd;
in fact, it’s totally bizarre.
Such a plan, was put forth by the serpent;
and he openly sought man’s complicity;
tho each was created in the role of servant;
they joined together in evil duplicity.
The kingdom, they envisioned in the garden;
was cast out, as Light, to a world below.
Neither gave thought to the Master’s pardon;
they had people to rule, and places to go.
Both had proven their character undependable;
and foolishly thought God had no choice;
they never realized that they were expendable;
and that the Master had the last voice.
Both joined together in the world they envisioned;
for it was a kingdom they thought they’d control;
their new world was, by itself, safely partitioned;
their physical bodies, were apart from their soul.
In a sense, they were an island, far from their home;
eternal reality is the Master’s ocean of thought;
tho neither was a god; they both remained all alone;
since they were the reality, rebellion brought.
In their world, God sent his son to die in his stead;
they hadn’t a clue what God had in store;
once the Master raised his Son from the dead;
their island flooded; and they were gods, no more.
