Nightmare

I learned a deeper lesson of reality;
last night, in the midst of sleep;
thought took me, where I needed to be;
reality took a quantum leap.

I leaped off the pages of my book of life;
and onto the pages of another;
the stench of reality cut like a knife;
a truth lay in wait; to discover.

I awakened from a believable space;
and, then came my quantum leap;
a victim of a crime; became my face;
a reality; crystal clear and deep.

Someone, unknown, had kidnapped me;
I never even recall seeing their face;
I’d been left alone, as dazed as could be;
taken to a different place.

Not once, did I consider, it was a dream;
in my mind; the story had appeal;
it seemed impossible to dismiss all I’d seen;
my new truth was beyond surreal.

I now had no money; no identification;
no means to find my way home;
like a runaway child, in a police station;
feeling lost, and all alone.

Suddenly, I returned to the death of sleep;
then from its grave, I arose;
I had much to write; and promises to keep;
now, wearing my own clothes.

Consciousness has unbelievable power;
reality becomes, at the mercy of man;
all weeds can blossom into a flower;
we’re the seed of the Great I Am.
