Money Talks
We live in a world where money is king;
we are just money’s slaves;
with money, we can buy anything;
becoming the serpent’s knaves.
Morality and ethics; each only a word;
both, we’re told to ignore.
Money says, “morality” is clearly absurd;
and ethics can’t promise us more.
But the Master and creator of everything;
says of money: all beware;
for, a love of money can be devastating;
it’s best, you learn to share.
Still, money remains the king of the realm;
in this kingdom of earth;
but in heaven; God is still at the helm;
and that is our home of birth.
We are aliens; not too far from home;
love is the money we’re to share;
with an eternal connection; never alone;
faith has the power to take us there.
We’re still servants of the only true king;
our current residence means nothing;
regardless of edicts that money may bring;
false kings can only be bluffing.
Tho money talks; it can’t satisfy your need;
from evil, all must be distancing;
if you want to be certain to succeed;
just make sure, you’re not listening.
