Love Passes On
Where have you suddenly gone;
you, who I’ve held so dear?
Passing through new dawn,
images remain, so clear.
As the sun is going down;
silencing the peaceful night;
not allowing memory to drown;
you still are my soul’s delight.
The memories of all we shared;
are mine, alone, to hold;
let not those memories be impaired;
because I’m growing old.
The world’s become an empty space;
I simply can’t fit, within;
no love to hold, kiss, and embrace;
I cannot start over again.
Our lives, but just a moments, by;
all time’s eternity embraced;
precious memories make me cry;
with the physical bond erased.
In what remains, emptiness dwells;
all semblance of life; now gone;
in life’s adventure, we shared ourselves;
but now your soul has moved on.
I know the place where you’ve gone;
some day, I’ll be there too;
once I reach my time to move on,
I’ll be back home with you.
