Love Of The Soul
Seeking love, we look at appearance;
as tho, that’s where love is found;
a beautiful face often runs interference;
tho love may not be around.
Then our attention turns from the face;
studying the body’s physique;
most tend to desire an alluring shape;
one that others, cannot critique.
Women often look for men of strength;
seeking their lover’s protection;
one who’s taller; more worthy by length;
a marble statue of perfection.
Men often seek a woman who has shape;
one they can wrap their arms around;
in addition, they expect a beautiful face;
tho perfection never can be found.
The tip of an iceburg, extends above;
inside the heart, loves begin;
consider, the truth about physical love;
warm; outside; iceberg, within.
Love of the body is only an attracttion;
while the real truth resides within;
physical love is nothing, but interaction;
the soul is where true love begins.
Love was created to bond us together;
two hearts begin beating as one;
souls in love; live on forever;
the creation of life; become.
