Love Blossoms
Most think flowers are matter;
they bloom and blossom in sight;
but love’s energy tends to flatter;
it’s a blooming flowering delight.
Most think love blooms one time;
and then, it’s destined to die;
leaving an empty place on the vine
to wither alone, and to cry.
Love’s energies are much like plants;
growing, and blooming, within;
it’s a rising crescendo; then it recants;
and starts all over again.
Like rain, love keeps falling down;
nurturing all the plants below;
each of us wearing love’s crown;
for we’re each a part, love’s beau.
Love is often known to cause pain;
each rose has thorns on it’s stem;
and if we desire our love to remain;
we will always forgive her again.
For thorns give the rose protection;
for she is a most delicate flower;
it’s likely her mode of rejection;
for a potential love that’s gone sour.
Friendship is love in its infancy;
the seeds of its flowers, sown;
words of love are a symphony;
true Love is friendship, full blown.
