Look Within

We’re warned by the Master; not to judge;
it simply isn’t our place;
still, man judges; unwilling to budge;
lacking the Master’s grace.

Keenly aware of the sins; all around;
we become both judge and jury;
watching, for whatever evil is found;
we often react in full fury.

We become judges for all that we see;
not wanting the guilty to escape;
expecting nothing but mercy for me;
for making one little mistake.

The judges of man, lack God’s perfection;
corruption occurs every day;
the guilty can’t hide from God’s perception;
from man; many get away.

Judges must always, be about truth;
but, often some witnesses lied;
to find one guilty; there must be proof;
sometimes the innocent are tried.

Every sin, to God, is a capital crime;
confession is good for the soul;
judgment is the role of the divine;
forgiveness is the Master’s goal.

Be sure; your sins find you out;
stop looking at others’ sin;
don’t look all around and about;
first; start looking within.
