Life, In A Hurry

Times have changed; from when I was young;
it almost seems to fly by in a flurry;
time always speeds up; from when it begun;
we’re now living life in a hurry.

Most divide their time, between work and play;
but the balancing act becomes tough;
there seem to be too few hours in each day;
and it never seems quite enough.

Our hours at work are often etched in stone;
leaving less and less time for rest;
we’ve come to enjoy some hours alone;
and time keeps putting us to the test.

But time, itself, cannot ever stand still;
it must forever keep on going;
time is the greatest test of our will;
enabling, we keep on growing.

And so, we speed up; to catch up to time;
often causing an eminent disaster;
the speed of light; the essence of the divine;
we simply can’t go any faster.

Shortcuts become the style of our life;
like bees; we go flower to flower;
little time to spend with husband or wife;
sometimes it seeems less than an hour.

This life still seems to fly by in a flurry;
tho time doesn’t exist above
there isn’t any need to live life in a hurry;
time gives way to eternal love.
