A Legacy Of Words
I will never establish a physical empire;
I’ve neither the strength, nor will;
conquest wasn’t meant to be my desire;
I live only to love; not kill.
I place little value in physical strength;
for strength seems to come and go;
nor, place importance in breadth and length;
only the mind needs to grow.
Logic has become my focus of reason;
thought; the pre-eminent power;
a physical body lasts, for only a season;
wisdom blossoms each hour.
In this life; I failed in my business quest;
nothing I had built; would last;
whispers from the Master; tend to suggest;
my empire building was past.
Age has placed limits on my physicality;
only my experience remains;
thoughts have become my new reality;
for assessing losses and gains.
Knowledge comes to he who waits;
patience is its own reward;
logic and wisdom must frame debates;
tongue; more power, than sword.
My words have become my legacy;
experience makes us all wise;
the Lord God is the only true papacy;
my words are His, in disguise;
