Kiss Of Betrayal
A kiss is the sign of love and fidelity;
a covenant proclaiming our will;
love crescendos; truth is the melody;
two lovers share the ultimate thrill.
Words fail to describe this potent union;
two people; in love; become one;
a perfect metaphor of two souls’ reunion;
the perfect love has become.
The kiss is the ultimate rainbow, Divine;
the rich guarantee of intent;
not meant to become erased by time;
no need to ever lament.
A kiss on the cheek, is the love of friends;
a bond meant to last forever;
but when a kiss on the lips descends;
two souls become one; together.
When our lips are joined as one, together;
we’re meant to become as one mind;
the marriage of souls is to last forever;
for such pupose; lips were designed.
Promises should never made as mere token;
lies about love are evil and absurd;
once our promises of love are broken;
how can anyone trust in your word?
Any contract that’s sealed with a kiss;
can’t be rescinded by the mail;
once, your word; you choose to dismiss;
you’ve committed an act of betrayal.
Judas betrayed the Lord with a kiss;
risking the very fires of hell.
Would you, as well, similarly dismiss;
are you a Judas; as well?
