It's All About Me

It’s All About Me

I view all reality through eyes and ears;
for each is an energy receptor;
I express myself with my voice, and tears;
but, my mind is my truth detector.

Though I accept light in, through my eyes;
my thoughts tell me all that I see;
thoughts send words; my winds of replies;
for reality is created by me.

Without my awareness; reality goes dark;
even the day, becomes darkest night;
my ears become usesless, to hear the lark;
the eagles have all flown beyond sight.

Without my mind, I couldn’t see others;
I need awareness of the mind to see;
am I now speaking to sisters or brothers;
I lack awareness to know what they be.

I can’t confirm or deny, one’s coming or going;
of outside events, I’m strictly unaware;
I don’t know if there’s wheat from seed, growing;
or if wheat can be found anywhere.

Touch is meaningless without the mind;
for touch can neither affirm or deny;
and touch becomes empty, unless defined;
and reality may never reply.

Perhaps I’m envisioning reality in reverse;
maybe I’m within; and there’s nothing to see;
nothing’s outside, but a place to rehearse;
and life, itself, is all about me.
