"It Takes A Village" (by special request)

It Takes A Village
(Bonus by special request)

I’ve heard many foolish words uttered;
that some people take as serious;
some, such words, are as wisdom, stuttered;
for the authors must be delirious.

Some are quite harmless, like piles of sand;
an idle mind’s thoughtless expression;
but, others are preludes to what is planned;
and hints of future repression.

“It takes a village” is such an expression;
a subtle dream, of a collective society;
where individual rights experience repression;
and the lives within it, are devoid of variety.

One speaks as all; and all speak as one;
no form of dissent is accepted;
such, is difficult to stop; once it’s begun;
and individual rights, rejected.

In such a world, parents have no rights;
their child is a virtual ward of the state;
once within the collective state’s sights;
there is no reasoning, or ability to debate.

No village or state can raise up a child;
governments cannot nurture and love;
such ideas, are useless thoughts run wild;
a parent’s love flows, from God above.

A village will tend to select the “best”;
only a family can love all the time;
the village will often reject the rest;
abortion of family; the ultimate crime;
