In The Presence Of Divinity

What is it that gives God the eyes to see;
does he see out of the hurricane’s eye;
does he have eyes on the leaves of a tree;
or does he have eyes in the sky?

What is it that gives God the ears to hear;
listening to our prayers every day;
what soft whispers make him draw near;
hearing each word that we pray?

How does God feel the touch of our hand;
are we the soft summer breeze;
are we the love that God had planned;
does he feel us drop to our knees?

How does faith connect God with our mind;
perhaps we’re already a part;
it was we who decided to leave God behind;
even tho we’re a part of his heart.

We think of God as an external being;
tho, from him, all has become;
consciousness is the eternal unseen;
everything came from the One.

The garden of Eden is heaven’s dream
some may think it material;
but heaven is not what it may seem;
a world of thought; ethereal.

We spend our lives; while living in fear;
not comprehending infinity;
often we pray that God draw near;
resting in the arms of divinity.

We don’t understand what God is about;
we don’t even know where to begin;
in ignoranance, we seek God; looking out;
while God resides, within.
