I Have Nothing To Say
This has been a most unusual morning;
confusion owns the day;
words and thoughts; aren’t conforming;
so I have nothing to say.
Others often reach a similar confusion;
also, with nothing to say;
then, they reach a different conclusion;
and tend to say it, anyway.
When nothing entered the conversation;
then there’s nothing, to talk about;
then, something enters; causing confrontation;
leading each participant to shout.
When nothing worthwhile is on our mind;
it’s best that we not say it;
words are, sometimes, best left behind;
in fear they might convey it.
Sometimes it’s better to just say nothing;
than something; you’ll soon regret;
whatever the case; you’d best not be bluffing;
or you’ll be in your enemy’s debt.
Your mind hides your secrets; for a good reason;
all words have the wind at their back;
when they’re uttered in a turbulent season;
they demonstrate the love, they lack.
So, in conclusion, watch what you say;
once it is said; you cannot deny it;
everyone’s mind has an instant replay;
so, it’s best that you just keep quiet.
