I Am Man
I am this conscious energy mist;
floating and moving about;
a separate entity; by God I’m kissed;
I am me; there is no doubt.
But, what is this thing called me;
where have I been; where am I going?
A particle of thought; I seem to be;
from a seed; my new body is growing.
Encased within another being;
my seed grows into a sprout;
and then, an embryo, still unseeing;
longing to at last, come out.
Finally, one day, I leave the womb;
a future; I am destined to be;
like a butterfly; leaving the cocoon;
now, become fully me.
I am now living a life He had planned;
but everything has a reason;
for death is a part of His demand;
completing His cycle: the season.
For, the seed He planted within the womb;
in death, He would seem to dispose;
instead; replanted within the tomb;
and man became God’s hybrid rose.
