Humility’s easy when weak and poor;
and you look to such splendor above;
though you often lust for much more;
it’s hard to imagine receiving Love.

When your life improves; you change;
your own self image is better;
your entire life will suddenly rearrange;
you’re no longer a hopeless debtor.

You no longer wear a helpless face;
confidence says you’re much better;
a mirror no more pictures disgrace;
you’ve become life’s newest jet setter.

And yet, you’re still that very same one;
nothing whatsoever has changed inside;
what is now you; is the same as begun.
humilty has just found a place to hide.

It’s so very difficult to remain humble;
once, you reached a plateau of success.
That arrogance will quickly crumble;
as you look in the mirror and undress.

You’re a bag of skin, filled with water;
bones and organs, sloshing inside;
and even if you’re sleek, like an otter;
most, posess, a physique, to hide.

That energy you, is a child of the King;
created by the Master, above;
humbled by what, to God’s table, you bring;
our humility turns into Love.
