Home Sweet Home
Be it ever be so humble…
there’s no place like home;
no matter how we grumble;
or how far we roam.
Whatever destiny we may seek;
whatever circumstance brings;
we have the world, laid at our feet;
living in a land for kings.
Exiled from the world of perfection;
sent down to settle on earth;
we all were prodigals of rejection;
cast out of the garden of birth.
We’re all the children of diversity;
competing for the Master’s prize;
enduring all the storms of adversity;
overcoming all divisions and lies.
We’re sent here; that we might learn;
achieving a measure of nobilty;
restraining passions, and lust, that burn;
only love leads to tranquility.
Home is the place where we’re living;
heaven is our home above;
whatever we want; we must be giving;
the greatest gift is our love.
We are the family that God created;
no one was meant to be all alone;
due to our sin; we’ve been separated;
God calls us to home sweet home.
