His Special Child
His Special Child
You’re the special child of the living God;
I’m aware that He wants you to know;
I‘m certain this revelation seems rather odd;
but the Father in heaven has told me so.
Thinking of perfection, He fashioned your face;
and whispered thoughts of love in your ear;
knowing that your love, He could never replace;
He promised He would always be near.
Through the length and breadth of eternity;
He’d never allow you out of His sight;
mankind was the masterpiece of maternity;
and we are His children of Light.
Still, darkness crept in; from the inception;
causing his children, be tempted;
receiving, from evil, a welcome reception;
from guilt, none were exempted.
In a sense, you’ve run away from home;
you weren’t, yet, ready for Perfection;
in a wilderness kingdom; destined to roam;
recompense for past rejection.
You’ll always remain your Father’s child;
no matter how far, from home, you stray;
He, more than you, wants you reconciled;
and He patiently awaits that day.
Far from perfect; you strayed from His path;
not always proud of what you’ve done;
in death, we face God’s Love; not wrath;
for Love can’t disown a daughter or son.
