Happily Never Ending

We view life as a book, movie, or play;
all of which have an ending;
doing our best, to live day to day;
death is the night, descending.

Death is the verdict; we cannot conceive;
dreaming only of joy and laughter;
it’s only in life; we’ve come to believe;
there must be a happily ever after.

We are characters, playing our role;
by the Master; it has been written;
there’s evil and good; within each soul;
by death, all is forgiven.

We think we’re a life, on the brink,
enduring hardships and strife;
but souls are mere droplets of ink,
on the pages of the book of life;

Our sins, in life, cannot be erased;
their memories are a toxic brew;
evil cannot look upon God’s face;
all souls must be made new.

All are created in the thoughts of God;
His image can not be diminished;
with the Master; we’re two peas in a pod;
and God said; “It is finished.

The theater, called life, shall soon end;
a new life story is soon beginning;
the curtain will fall; and abruptly descend;
the next one is happily never ending.
