Goodbye Is A Lie
Goodbye Is A Lie
Thru the vastness of communication;
only thoughts tell just the truth;
speech allows for thought mitigation;
allow me to offer some proof.
Thoughts carry a sense of truth or nobility;
sometimes they embody both;
transformed to speech; they gain agility;
and truth then requires an oath.
We often lie over the simplest of things;
such as, “Don’t you simply look lovely?”
Oblivious to the effect such a lie brings;
when you think: “You sure look ugly!”
We often just say; what they want to hear;
an innocent lie may help our cause;
whispering, “I’ll miss you,” when they’re near;
shedding false tears; just because.
We often lie; that others won’t feel bad;
expecting that they’ll never know;
we can’t make them either happy or sad;
when it’s truth that makes us grow.
When parting company; we say goodbye;
often that word strikes like a missle;
its meaning can make its recipient cry;
its a gentle form of dismissal.
In Truth; “Goodbye is an ignorant lie!”
all life is one; not a schism;
we weren’t created to live; then to die;
life is an eternal energy prism.
