God’s Choice
Have I lived too long; just waiting to die;
each sunrise has lost all appeal;
will I see a sunset that makes me cry;
or believe the illusion is real?
We all must have people around us;
a serious purpose to live for;
a problem designed to confound us;
not love, closing the door.
Each has to play a designated role;
from a script; written above;
acting out each part for the soul;
expressing undying love.
Love is the pearl of great price;
a diamond in the rough;
I can live for a while, giving advice;
without love; it isn’t enough.
Life was never about what we receive;
we’re commanded to keep on living;
the Master insisted that if we believe;
loves’s greatest power is forgiving.
Some might consider dying by choice;
but there’s redeption in living;
death must obey the Master’s voice;
love is received; by giving.
Have I lived too long; waiting to die?
From Eden, came an angel’s voice:
“It’s not your time, to make others cry;
such a time is the Master’s choice!”
