Fugitive From Love

Many times, I’ve been a captive of love;
in need of someone to care;
the aphrodisiac sent from heaven above;
for the one, whose love I share;

True love requires God’s anointment;
it cannot become man’s choice;
love can be a web of disappointment;
when lacking the Master’s voice.

God didn’t send Adam down to the earth;
in search for someone to love;
Eve was selected, for Adam, at birth;
a choice handed down from above.

I am guilty of making my own choice;
failing the obvious test;
subtly ignoring the Master’s voice;
knowing; father knows best.

Man usually seeks the apple of his eye;
led by his lust for sin;
such choices make the Master cry;
for true beauty lies within.

I’ve loved before; but it wasn’t enough;
divorce causes eternal pain;
our lifetime choices, prove to be tough;
I won’t choose to love again;

Loneliness was never a choice for me;
nor, was it God’s choice, above;
living without love was my destiny;
I’ve become a fugitive from love.
