Freedom

Freedom is God’s ultimate gift;
where we must always be;
government proposes it’s drift;
leading to slavery.

God gave life and freedom, above;
man has chosen a worldly king;
God promises unending Love;
government promises everything.

The brightest aren’t in charge;
nor will they ever be;
kings aspire; kingdoms enlarge;
their freedom, isn’t free.

Those seeking freedom won’t find it;
for it’s lost in a maze of laws;
the lawmakers refuse to bind it
it’s covered in some hidden clause.

Man’s promises are simply contracts;
made, only to become broken;
evil men still have their contacts;
all protections; merely token.

Evil always seeks more control;
by whatever means, available;
for that has been evil’s role;
until their power’s unassailable.

Consider the serpent’s temptation of Eve.
Evil had plans from the very beginning.
Innocence, very often cannot conceive;
that evil is always about winning.
