Flirting With Strangers

Life is burdensome without someone to love;
but love can attract elusive dangers;
unless your attraction is sanctioned from above;
beware, flirting with strangers.

Strangers are people we really don’t know;
we can only take them; at their word;
love is the rose that takes time to grow;
its thorn is usually felt; not heard.

Strangers becoming lovers; due to surmises;
leave their futures up to circumstance;
often they experience unwelcome surprises;
as evil joins in their dance.

Many people believe in love at first sight;
tho such occurances are rare;
often their lover leaves at first light;
and love is no longer there.

Before we can love; we must first be friends;
true friends are unable to lie;
friends, who argue, can make amends;
false lovers don’t even try.

Friendship is love’s seed that is planted;
where both gives more than takes;
without it; love is just taken for granted;
ultimately leading to heartbreaks.

God, our creator must not be a stranger;
sanctifying us from heaven above
useless flirtations can lead us to danger;
only God can lead us to love.
