Faces Of A Fool
Faces are paintings; set on display;
merely forms of identification;
energy makes them age and decay;
all are limited in duration.
The mind; within them; seeks to rule;
but, no man is fit to be king;
all who try; are exposed as a fool;
it’s only hatred they bring.
God said; “Be fruitful, and multiply;
promising that all be free;
we’re to live free; and then to die;
becoming a perfect destiny.
Only a fool dare stand in the way;
of the Lord of all creation;
but, even the fool will have his day;
they exist, in every generation.
You can’t tell a book by its cover;
neither; a fool by his face;
only by actions; can we discover;
a fool that leads to disgrace.
We’ve all been given a mind to think;
and discover the truth, within;
evil thoughts can take us to the brink;
only a fool allows they sink in.
Every face; can be the face of a fool;
to love, or hate, is a choice;
we willingly become the devil’s tool;
when we fail to heed God’s voice.
