Eternal love, where ere thou be;
where I long, forever, to stay;
it is the location defined as me;
and from its presence; not stray.
Thou beauty endures beyond the ages;
your voice is a symphony;
with a wisdom that exceeds the sages;
you are where I long to be.
You were with me at my birth;
never, ever to leave my side;
joining my parents on earth;
within me, your love to hide.
You stayed nearby; never did leave;
always watching over me;
even when I left, you never did grieve;
for you knew what I was destined to be.
Your very essence is a sweet perfume;
physicality isn’t your realm;
your being is the love of flowers in bloom;
with the Master of Love at the helm.
Your touch is eternal; it’s everywhere;
it can’t be escaped, if tried;
your universe; filled with your care;
even well after I’ve died.
But death is life’s greatest illusion;
a permanent end for all pain;
bringing one chapter of life to conclusion;
and allowing another to begin.
