Engaged
Words are the foundation of physical reality;
thoughts evolving into light;
the building blocks of an energy duality;
different as day is to night.
Reality exists in a great many dimensions;
one is above all the others;
earth is just one of God’s extensions;
a kingdom for prodigal lovers.
Language is the key to all understanding;
the means of discovering truth;
some people are cattle; worthy of branding;
always demanding the proof.
God doesn’t live at man’s beck and call;
faith is our only true connection;
God is the creator and the Lord of all;
we are the prodigals of rejection.
We’ve been taught to pray without ceasing;
since God holds our lives in his hands;
unless we’re on fire; or cold and freezing;
God covets our love; not demands.
We are all souls; just turning life’s page;
seeking an eternal connection above;
all souls are lonely; destined to engage;
through faith; God shares his love.
Engagement is the intercourse of life;
we’re souls; in a battle, waged;
a soul is made up of a man and wife;
in love; all must be engaged.
