Enchanting Eyes
Enchanting Eyes
I saw a beautiful woman today;
I can’t begin to describe her;
I was taken aback; as she came my way;
I almost felt I’d imbibed her.
Her radiant beauty; impossible to be missed;
tho expressions concealed her disguise;
her lips reached out; longing to be kissed;
sunshine shone from her eyes.
Some say eyes are windows to the soul;
instead, they’re a path to the heart;
expressing love; is their primary role;
once matched; neither can part.
I stood for a while; my stare persisted;
thirsting for her love, to share;
but, she barely realized that I existed;
I had only hoped she could care.
My thoughts of her love were all in vain;
she turned away; walking ahead;
she shall never pass this way, again;
to her; I’m the same as dead.
What was it all about; her enchanting eyes;
they’re more than physical enhancement;
drawing me inward towards love’s surprise;
her eyes: gravity to the soul’s enchantment.
I’ll always recall those enchanting eyes;
tho our paths remain worlds apart;
heaven may be a harbor for love’s surprise;
perhaps, I will have stolen her heart.
