Destined To Roam
I could see my destiny looming straight ahead;
where opportunity and determination meet;
but devastating failure was my destiny, instead;
corporate greed assured my defeat.
This life is a labyrinth of greed and corruption;
my youthful eyes simply failed to see;
circumstance had scheduled my life interruption;
I’d never be; what I thought I’d be.
Sometimes in our life; it seems life explodes;
we feel as though incurring God’s wrath;
but, when our confidence and faith erodes;
it’s simply time to choose a new path.
Our failure in life; is the failure to dream;
we’re each, God’s daughter or son;
we waste time; trying to plan and scheme;
the Master has plans for each one;
We usually design our future with pride;
arrogance gives us his fill;
ultimately ignoring why the Master died;
love is the Master’s will.
Faith is the key to all honor and truth;
a gift from our Father, above;
failure is destiny for those too aloof;
wisdom leads us to love.
I’ve failed many times; in this life season;
it seemed I was tempted to roam;
all our failures are destined; for a reason;
only love shall bring us home.
