What kind of foolishness do we learn;
do others lead us like sheep?
Do we pay for our failure to discern;
must we always learn, and weep?
Everyone drinks from the cup of knowledge;
and there is so much to be learned;
much more wisdom than taught in college;
do we just get that which we earned?
Knowledge, itself, just gets us so far;
with wisdom, it’s wrapped in a bow;
most people’s wisdom can be held in a jar;
leaving much, they’re needing to know.
Knowledge is mere facts of material things;
but wisdom is a knowledge much higher;
scientists tell us what heating water brings;
but wisdom speaks to greed and desire.
Many with much knowledge are ignorant;
for deeper wisdom eludes them;
ignorance, confronted, becomes belligerent;
and arrogance exudes them.
Logic is the cornerstone of being wise;
but the ignorant most often ignore it;
using learning as their disguise;
they often reject Wisdom and abhor it.
Imagination may be from the best intent;
but most of all theories are lies;
and the arrogant among us like to invent;
to hide all the truth in disguise.
Wisdom teaches; what ignorance cannot;
for wisdom supplants imagination;
whether you’re a “have” or “have-not”
all lies are merely fertilization.
