Darkest Before The Dawn

We’re living in darkness; morning to night;
while evil guides the ship of state;
darkness whispers, “Everthing’s all right,”
tho the dawn shouts: “It’s too late!”

The die of destiny has already been cast;
momentum has taken control;
a cloud covers life; from the first to last;
as darkness envelops each soul.

Evil has become man’s natural gravity;
temptation tugs at our sleeve;
this world is a cesspool of depravity;
beyond what any can conceive.

All cry for peace; but peace cannot come;
it lies on a shore, far away;
the nest of corruption; shall not succumb;
but Light shall have its day.

We live as though this life is forever;
while silently knowing it will die;
truth is all about when; not whether;
death is no reason to cry;

The stain of death is on all who sin;
judged by the King of Glory;
but the Judge offers life; for all within;
consider the rest of His story.

The end of times, refers to this earth;
where it’s darkest before the dawn;
death will return us to our place of birth;
in the Master’s house we’ll live on.
