I recall when yesterday was tomorrow;
but, no longer wanted to stay;
so it picked up some luggage to borrow;
and traveled by train, to today.
When yesterday arrived at the station;
today was already gone;
he had left to go on a long vacation;
so yesterday simply moved on.
When yesterday arrived at a new tomorrow;
he felt like he’d been there before;
as he entered the station, he felt sorrow;
the conductor, behind him, closed the door.
So yesterday decided to visit next week;
but the train’s schedule didn’t go there;
so, by taking a bus, his schedule to tweak;
he purchased a vague ticket to anywhere.
On the way, the bus had two flat tires;
driving a road, in the middle of nowhere;
the driver pointed out the ticket expires;
and there’s no other way to go there.
Yesterday considered taking the plane;
gaining a discount for an empty seat;
and flying offered an additional gain;
he’d get there in time to meet “next week”.
Time told yesterday, to take the plane;
for yesterday, a discount applies;
and, time would never ride the train;
for, everyone knows time flies.
