Condemned To Live
I’ve lived many lives; rolled into one;
seeking God’s purpose for me;
growth is about our path to become;
all roads lead to our destiny.
Life is the blend of sunshine and rain;
with seasons to laugh and to cry;
proving that failures often bring gain;
with death; our time for goodbye;
For every success; a failure awaits;
heaven has only one throne;
pride is barred from heaven’s gates;
leaving the proud all alone.
Although, I’ve tried to do my best;
I’ve been a failure at every turn;
sharing God’s love is now my quest;
I have one more lesson, to learn.
God commanded that we all forgive;
our failure to love is sin;
loving others is commanded to live;
or else we can’t enter in;
Memories constantly remind of sin;
a weight, only God can relieve;
only by death; can a new life begin;
love gives the power to believe.
Memories haunt of guilt and sin;
I pray to God; let me forgive;
until I’ve forgiven; I can’t enter in;
for now, I’m condemned to live.
