Change Of Address
An address refers to a specific location;
a place where we occaisionally go;
It might be a home or a place of vacation;
or the home of a friend you know.
“Address” is a most complex, unusual word;
as a noun; it represents a location;
and yet; when, “address” is used as a verb;
it implies a very specific dictation.
It’s a bringing together of time and space;
for, like them, it is subject to change;
like the wrinkles and lines upon our face;
its proof of time’s ability to rearrange.
For change is the very essence of reality;
a word becomes flesh; then appears;
change challenges thoughts of normality;
and, has been; for a millennia of years.
When we change our permanent address;
the place that we call our home;
the mind oft returns, while under duress;
or when we feel all alone.
Our permanent address can never exist;
for reality is thought, alone;
our mind; deceived; continues to insist;
yet; only our soul is home.
Address is a word that we bandy about;
the soul is where all things begin;
believing we’re inside; just looking out;
tho we can only live within.
