Treasures, are seldom found in the open;
if left there; they’d never remain;
those, left to be found, would be token;
with all the others, taken for gain.
Treasures come in all shapes and sizes;
some are personal gifts of the soul;
others, analytical thoughts or surmises;
some gifts play a special role.
Talents are regarded the greatest of all;
granting their bearers responsibility;
talents are required to overcome a fall;
and lead us into greater tranquility.
Most significant treasures are buried, within;
and granted their bearer, from birth.
Tho we’ve always had them, to our chagrin;
circumstance, often allowed they unearth.
These buried treasures were gifts of God;
allowing mere man to act in His stead;
and even though, to others, it seems odd;
they provide ways for His sheep to be fed.
Other treasures are energies, granting power;
that the children of God may grow;
gaining in wisdom, beginning to flower;
as they’re taught what they need to know.
Hidden treasures are buried for a reason;
as the waters of growth, rain from above;
flowers must bloom in the proper season;
and those blooms must blossom into Love.
