Beneficial Lies

Most lies are generally told for a reason;
usually to achieve financial gain;
all lies can occur within any season;
many are told to cause pain.

Other lies; told for no acceptable reason;
mostly told to make an impression;
actually examples of informational treason;
or other form of truth supression.

Some lies are characterized as simply delicious;
examples of gossip, at its best;
especially those, refered to as salacious;
when they pass the truth barrier test.

A few lies are told with a noble intent;
like telling someone ugly; she’s pretty;
others are convoluted truths: we’ve bent;
like saying, “It’s a beautiful city.”

A few tell their lies, for no reason at all;
such twisted souls, are pathological;
such lying is simply their life-long call;
examples of an incurable prodigal.

Nobody’s lies ever do anyone good;
even ones told for a noble purpose;
the reason for a lie is misunderstood;
once the truth rises to the surface.

Only the truth should ever come out;
pride tells lies, just before the fall;
the will of God, is what truth’s about;
speak the truth; or don’t speak at all.
