questioning what I do or say;
my mind; like my body; somewhat arthritic;
I’m swimming in arthritic decay.

Death is the destiny; we seek to avoid;
tho we know, we’ll go there someday;
when some speak of death; we’re annoyed;
believing death won’t take us away.
When death occurs; the body grows cold;
physicality can no longer remain;

I live in a place called the Milky Way galaxy;
a system of stars and interstellar matter;
it was the place, where I was exiled to be;
not a place where my soul would rather.
All of life was created as a complexity;

I feel tossed by the waves of life;
caught up in its ebb and flow;
enduring all the heartbreakes and strife;
all meant to help me grow.
I’m swimming in an ocean of being;
involving two separate realms;
the upper world is thought, unseen;

A November Prayer
If only my spirit could pray tonight;
I wonder what I would say;
perhaps I’d ask that you make it right;
and take all my sins away.
My thoughts swell with those that I love;
and even a few I’d forgotten;
please bend your ear;
