An Appearance Of Certainty

An Appearance Of Certainty

You must not judge, solely by appearance;
or, at least, that’s what others have said;
many other factors often cause interference;
life is held together, by a slender thread.

Nothing is certain; except death and taxes;
if you believe in that old cliché;
long ago, telegrams were replaced by faxes;
all things, present; become passe.

Many are things that appear to be certain;
but appearances are often deceiving;
truth is hidden beyond a veiled curtain;
which most have trouble believing.

Most live their lives; believing eyes and ears;
but the mind, itself, holds hidden truth;
the truth is what often fuels all of our fears;
in our anguish; we demand proof.

All proofs remain in the Master’s hands;
secrets locked; so none can see;
all are to live by the Master’s commands;
only our faith holds the key.

Many seek to live in complete certainty;
believing in what they see and hear;
the deeper vision includes a fervency;
only faith can allay their fear.

Only faith has the vision to see the truth;
truth is far greater than most conceive;
fools demand from their Master, proof;
the meek have the gift to believe.
