An Angel Of Love
An Angel Of Love
Often, I just need to clear my mind;
too much clutter tends to confuse;
the loves of my life; left me behind;
and, a new love became my muse.
I think of her often, most every day;
to her; I’m someone she knows;
she can’t imagine; that I feel this way;
I hope that my love never shows.
When I first met her; I could feel love;
its passions flowing from her eyes;
she was a special angel; sent from above;
meant to encourage and advise.
I felt like a planet; circling a star;
her gravity, drawing me in;
she was a woman; I’d love from afar;
I didn’t know where to begin.
How can an old man love a young muse;
his passions becoming excited;
destiny whispered; that I could only lose;
with a love, so clearly unrequited;
Still I dream of this woman I love;
this extraordinary celestial being;
a soul of an angel from heaven above;
whose home is a kingdom unseen.
My writings; are enhanced by her power;
with love so intense I could cry;
I give thanks to God for this lovely flower;
tho I won’t get to kiss her goodbye.
