A Visit With Wisdom

My eyes were closed; yet, my mind, awake;
while deeper thoughts; I beheld;
at first, I thought it a nightmarish mistake;
and so, my mind rebelled.

Sometimes my thoughts are an empty well;
bearing no wisdom within;
other times I can feel knowledge swell;
at a place where truth enters in.

Wisdom rarely comes wearing a face;
it’s more a warm feeling inside;
like the passion of a warm embrace;
when love is unable to hide.

Wisdom is the Master; the Sovereign Lord;
from whom no secrets are kept;
creator of disaster; with his flaming sword;
over love; the Master wept.

Wisdom had much he wanted to share;
even though we were worlds apart;
whispering the truth; that God is there;
and that all share the Master’s heart.

I heard not a word that wisdom had said;
but his message was crystal clear;
beware all ye prodigals; God is not dead;
you soon shall feel him draw near.

My eyes were closed; yet, my mind, awake;
from thoughts, within, I could tell
at first, I thought it a nightmarish mistake;
the earth appeared, as a living hell.
