A Toxic Brew
A Toxic Brew
Out with the old; and in with the new;
we live in an infinite reality;
sometimes when the old goes out of view;
we can begin to feel its duality.
Our eyes see reality as endless space;
ourselves, as physical beings;
somehow we sense it’s all out of place;
and physicality is only our dreams.
We are the leaves in the tree of life;
destiny seems to be in the ground;
death comes, on some Autumn night;
yet, consiousness is still around.
We are, in reality, conscious energy;
old, become mixed with the new;
life is a duality; created by synergy;
all in all; we’re a toxic brew.
On one hand; we’re the beauty of creation;
even our face; bears its smile;
on the other hand; we needed salvation;
for a part of humanity is vile.
God is the embodiement of infinite reality;
a concept, often misunderstood;
evil is a part of the eternal duality;
earth is evil’s neighborhood.
Reality, all around us; constantly changing;
all of the old; replaced by the new;
divinity, confounds us; thoughts, rearranging
all in all; we’re a toxic brew.
