A Thirst For Love

Many strive for a life of Magnificence;
standing atop all sisters and brothers;
while others have a thirst for significance;
praying to become loved by others.

Many still seek out that worldly throne;
guaranteeing complete control;
once atop it; pride keeps them alone;
searching for the love of a soul

Love is our only reason for living;
and our reason for dying, as well;
love is also the reason for forgiving;
love is the only door out of hell.

Love is the energy behind all creation;
its influence was the primary role;
God’s love wa behind life’s salvation;
love is the oxygen of the soul.

Many have finally abandoned all pride;
while seeking their place of birth;
clumsily casting their arrogance aside;
expecting to inherit the earth.

But the true meek are all about giving;
nothing else really matters at all;
love is their only reason to go on living;
pride had already caused them to fall.

All of our life; we all hunger and thirst;
we hunger for faith in God above;
knowing that the least of us, is first;
our thirst is quenched by God’s love.
