A Splash Of Reality
What is your current state of mind;
are memories clouding thought;
why can’t we leave memories behind;
and only think what we ought?
Consciousness is an awareness flow;
focusing on who and what we are;
we must always know where to go;
unless we’re only a mind in a jar.
We live in a world of perceptual reality;
we are what we think we must be;
our dreams become a conceptual duality;
allowing our thoughts to roam free.
We waste time thinking of yesterday;
since yesterday already moved on;
and so most of us focus on only today;
tho in less than a day; it too is gone.
A splash of reality, needs thrown in our face;
awakening us to reality’s truth;
we live in the moment; not in time’s space;
search your memories, for proof.
Your mind that usually focuses on the present;
flows; neither aided, or obstructed; by time;
it could determine you’re an ox or a pheasant;
since its determination of reality is sublime.
Concepts of time are only thought’s illusions;
as we’ll discover, when we leave this place;
all will become forced to reach such conclusions;
when God’s reality is splashed in our face.
